Inverness Aiport is located 9 miles east of
the City of Inverness Inverness just off the
A96 towards Nairn. The turn off for the airport
is shortly before Newton onto the B9039.
By Car
From North East England:
Newcastle Upon Tyne, Middlesborough and Stockton on Tees
Follow the A68 to Edinburgh and continue on the M90 North. At Perth take the A9 and proceed towards Inverness. Follow signs for Inverness Airport and bear onto the A96 trunk road.
From the North of England:
Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds
Take the M6 North (from M62, West of Manchester) and continue towards Carlisle. Bear onto the A74(M) to join the M74 into Glasgow
From Glasgow:Use the M80 North to take the
M9 onto the A9 towards Inverness. Upon arriving
in Inverness, follow signs for A96 East to
Inverness Airport
By Rail
The nearest rail links to Inverness Airport are within Inverness City Centre, with trains running to the rest of the UK on a daily basis. There is also a station at Nairn, which is closer to the Airport itself. The train services from Inverness City Centre run into Nairn approximately every 2 hours, with a journey time of around 15 minutes.
By Bus
From the City of Inverness there
is a bus service, No 11, which runs from outside
the Post Office in Queensgate. The service
runs to the airport every hour and a half.
